Dumb Moves, Intimidation And Crying; Week In Review
Tonight comes the close of Kalia’s wild ride as her first Head of Household experience. It is also the first time this season a new player to the game has won, and it’s showed. I paid attention to the week, and tried to filter through the cries, lies, and umm.. automobiles(?) to bring you a breakdown of this week.
Things started strong and looked bright for Kalia and Daniele the second she correctly answered the final question of the HoH challenge last Thursday, and the pair were sitting on top of the World with a strong chance to start shifting the balance of power in their direction.
However, noobs will be noobs and the second Jeff started in on Kalia, she folded like a lawn chair. She pretended to hold strong and still nominated Jeff and Rachel, but in her head Jeff was going to be ok with being a pawn. Basically admitting she sucks at challenges, her theory was to nominate Jeff so he could definitely play for the veto and hopefully win, therefor not allowing Rachel to win. Naturally, Jeff wasn’t too happy about it (nor do I blame him), and made sure Kalia knew of his displeasure.
Playing like someone in over her head, Kalia even went as far as openly cheering for Jeff while giving up on the veto competition, which was one of the more uncomfortable moments I’ve seen this season. It was like a girl cheating on her bf, him breaking it off and hating her for it, but she still pretends they’re in a relationship and tries to act like nothing happened. Just plain awkward and embarrassing for Kalia.
As if the week couldn’t get weirder, when Jeff won the veto, Lawon volunteered to be the replacement nominee, and nobody in his alliance felt it was a really bad idea. This week was literally like watching a high school football team try and compete against a team in the NFL. You wanted to just throw in the towel for them, but at the same time you couldn’t stop watching because it was a complete massacre. (I’m at my metaphor limit this post)
Mostly due to Jeff and a lesser part Shelly, his alliance was somehow able to not only keep Rachel in the house this week, but likely evict a member of their own alliance. This picture below sums up Kalia’s entire week. She requested to speak to Rachel about last minute plans, and Rachel is blowing her off despite being nominated, and Kalia is left sitting in the kitchen alone like a lost puppy. It’s sad… completely over her head.

How often do you see a nominee blow off the HoH who has sunk her own alliance this week to save the nominee? It’s hilarious and pathetic rolled into a nice ball called Kalia.
Predictions
I thought this was actually going to be harder than what it was, and I still could be completely wrong, but here is how I see the day / night going. Daniele and Kalia are still going to realize they just made one of the biggest blunders they’ll ever make on this show, and probably be the ones scrambling for the votes to try and save Lawon. However, Shelly and Adam and secured tightly to Jeff and Jordan’s ass, so it’s not going to work. Porsche has even told Kalia she’s going to vote for Lawon to go, because that’s “the plan”, but reality is that even Porsche isn’t dumb enough to stay with a sinking ship.

Lawon is then forced to face off in a challenge with Brendon to re-enter the game, and loses. Brendon, Rachel, Jeff and Jordan are back together and one of them wins HoH promptly putting up Kalia and Daniele.

Kalia Intimidated Into Making Poor Decisions
Tonight while watching the CBS version of Big Brother 13, I instantly thought I was going to be watching a continuation of The Crying Game from Sunday night. Even Jeff commented about all the crying in the house recently, trust me Jeff, it’s not much more pleasant watching it. Luckily it stopped pretty much after it started and the show continued on..
On a related note though, can Rachel (and people talking to her about him) stop acting like Brendon died. She is constantly talking about the situation like Daniele killed him on night in his sleep. I’d be cringing if I were Brendon and watching that, but he’s not. He’s in sequester right now waiting to see if he’ll be competing against (Lawon?) tomorrow night to re-enter the house and ruin my summer. No, not because I dislike Brendon, because I will have to see more of this shit:
If I wanted to watch this, I’d go rent shit like Eat, Pray, Love.
Another thing that’s on my head. This is to Jeff. He’s usually a pretty bright guy, but his intimidation tactics are clouding his brain a bit. I get it, Kalia is weak minded and easy to manipulate, but don’t sit in the diary room and pull that shit with us too. When you say that you and Rachel are the strongest in the house so it’s stupid to put you up together, that’s just dumb. It’s smart to put the strongest up and get them the hell out of the house. If you have a chance to put them up together, you’re stupid not to. You can convince Kalia that it’s dumb all you want, but don’t sit in the diary room and try the same to us, we don’t fall for it! Do we?
Falling for it is just what Kalia did. It was embarrassing to watch her tonight. I catch a lot of the live feeds, but when you put the week together in an hour long show, you can really notice just how horrible a person is playing. I touched on it the other day that Lawon was making a foolish move, but to watch Kalia stop short of getting on her knees and servicing Jeff in the middle of the veto challenge was pathetic. (btw, I loved Jordan’s face when she said Adam had more balls, she’s great.. so innocent and sweet).

Now, a small open letter to Kalia…
Dear Kalia, take advice from the guy who is clearly terrifying you this season. You were listening to the door when he was talking about battle lines and shit. Learn from that. You and Daniele were sitting around with Lawon and Porsche but honestly decided Lawon’s idea of nominating himself was a good one? Are you nuts? Jeff hates you already, that’s not going to change. The guy is a man of his word and he said if you nominate him, he’s coming after you. So instead of cowering in a corner and trying to make things better, bunker up and try to defend it. Accept that you made an ‘enemy’ in the house and instead turn it on him. Tell him that he’s going to be your target for trying to intimidate you. You’re the freakin head of household right now, dammit.
Because he made it very clear that battle lines were drawn and that’s not going to change, you should have looked at him in the face while nominating his girlfriend. This way it’ll be You, Daniele, Porsche, and Lawon against Shelly, Adam, Jeff and whoever remains from Rachel/Jordan. Draw some of your own fucking battle lines and stop being a wimp. Failure to do so is the reason why an ally is likely going home tomorrow, and there is a strong chance his replacement will be another foe in Brendon (based on last minute surge for him). When you are sitting next to Daniele on the nomination couch in the very near future, and you see Jeff smiling, just remember that this is nobody’s fault but your own.

Note, I’m not rooting for or against Kalia, Jeff or anyone really. I am not taking sides. As a blog owner I just want drama because that equals hits which equal live feed sales and that allows me to pay for the site. This open letter isn’t really to Kalia because I know she’ll never read it. It’s hopefully to some Big Brother 14 contestant reading this right now not even knowing they’ll be in the house next summer.
My advice, don’t let someone force you to make moves because you’re scared of upsetting them. You will find yourself quickly out a chance to win $500k
Shelly Working Hard To Lose To Jeff And Jordan
Tonight on the feeds, (7 pm flashback time), Shelly decided to pull Kalia aside, lay next to her on the hammock and exploit her weakness of being a pretty bad player. Her theory is that Kalia needs to stand on her own, get out of Daniele’s shadow and earn back the trust of the almighty Jeff and Jordan by putting Porsche on the block, and actually trying to save Rachel this week.
From the sounds of it, it worked because Kalia ran and told Daniele the plan like she was going to do it.
All signs are pointing to this being an absolutely horrible move on the part of Kalia, Daniele, and as smart as she thinks she is right now, Shelly. Let’s be real, if Rachel stays in the game this week, and J/J still have their Shelly-puppet, It’s either HoH or eviction for Daniele, and guess who’s going after that? Lawon maybe, but Kalia will not be far behind leaving a nice clear path for J/J/R to cruise to the final 3.
Sure, Shelly has a great chance to make final 4, but does she really think she’s going to beat out Jeff and Rachel in competitions? Does she think he has a chance to win sitting next to America’s Sweetheart or her boyfriend who is playing a great game?
Her only shot is to somehow get to the final 4 then betraying her game-long allies of Jeff and Jordan by taking Rachel to the final 2, if it ever got to that point. Even then, she’ll have to fight for votes because she’ll have either pissed off people like J/J to get there, or they’ll consider Rachel a bigger competitor and Shelly a floater. It doesn’t mean she can’t win against Rachel, she still probably could, but it’ll be no easy task.
If Shelly wants to win, I think she really needs to secretly work with Kalia and Daniele, make them look like the bad guys, while staying completely under the radar as the 3rd mystery alliance member. Once the powerhouses like Jeff, Jordan and Rachel are out, then you can open up about your alliance and start taking credit for being the mastermind behind it all.
Just my 2 cents though.
The Crying Game
I have an idea to fix any drought people may be going through right now, simply take the tears that flowed through the Big Brother house this week and you will be all set.
Seriously, every few minutes of tonight’s episode was another person bawling their eyes out. When did the game become so emotional? I get that it’s not the easiest mental game to play, but doesn’t the casting department screen people for a bit of mental toughness? The sad part is, Rachel was only seen crying twice tonight, when you could literally fill up an hour long episode just of her crying this season.

What the fuck, CBS? I understand you don’t have much time to edit shows, but maybe next time when half the episode is showing another person crying, you can leave some stuff on the cutting room floor. I Promise They Don’t Cry All Day
Anyway, when they weren’t bawling their eyes out, there was game to be played. Let’s go over it here….
- Jeff and Jordan think Porsche chose Jeff and Shelly to go head to head during the HoH competition for reasons other than her not being bright. She said she wanted to be fair and give them a chance to play, and I honestly believe her.
- Shelly admitted to the diary room that she’s basically playing for 3rd place right now. If someone is able to fly a banner over the house, tell her to stop being dumb. She should certainly be working with Daniele and Kalia, let them get blood on their hands, piss off the jury, then try to make final 3 with them. Anyone sits next to Kalia or Daniele in the finals has a great shot at winning. Anyone sitting next to Jordan or even Jeff will probably be disappointed.
- Rachel is losing her mind. It doesn’t show it much in the episode, except for the nomination ceremony, but watching the feeds, she’s lost it. She really thinks the entire house is out to get her, and clearly didn’t plan on the fact that entering the game made it a very possible chance she’d be without Brendon for the summer.
- Kalia mentioned Adam’s birthday. That’s today, and to celebrate, he shaved his beard, and the house now calls him Phillip. Read about that part here.
- I wonder if Lawon and Adam have a solid shot at really slipping into the finals based on how much hatred and anger is going on between the two factions. As far as Shelly, she’ll get caught up in it at some point, I don’t think she’ll keep floating long. Adam and Lawon, however, are floating kings and it may work out for them.
Sunday Afternoon Live Blogging
So it’s a boring rainy Sunday afternoon, and what better thing to do than watch the Big Brother live feeds and blog about them!
Right now Rachel is outside chatting with Shelly and Adam, bashing Daniele of course. Rachel claims that outside the house Daniele works in bars, drinks a lot, sleeps around, etc.. I guess Rach forgot her days as a cocktail waitress in vegas?
Then she goes on and bitches that Daniele threatened her and Brendon that if they went after Dominic, they would be a target. Again, does she forget they have been doing the same bully tactics since day 1? I am tired of the ‘poor me’ act she’s putting up.
11:07 AM – It’s almost fascinating to watch how careful Adam is in preparing his bacon. Watching him flip each strip and line them up properly like he has an OCD is still more interesting than listening to Rachel go on and on about Brendon.

11:12 AM – Brendon told Rachel he wants to wait about 4 years to have kids, likely to finish college. What are the odds they’re still together in 4 years? Definitely take the ‘under’ if you have to bet.

Weekly Recap And Predictions!
Is she a good witch, or a bad witch?
Wow, quite a week in the Big Brother house. We had an elf running around, a wedding, lots of crying, a big shakeup, and rumors of a shrink visit and returning players.
Where to begin?
First, if you were following the CBS show, this blog, or the live feeds, you’d know by now that Daniele nominated Brendon and Rachel for eviction. Brendon then (not shockingly with his competition) won the PoV, and decided to pretend all week that he was going to take himself off the block. The shocking part is that he actually felt his trickery really made a bit of a difference. I get that he’s going to medical school, but his arrogance is really getting the better of him this season. Waiting until the last minute to pull a surprise move isn’t really that big of a deal when there is only one other option. It’s not Survivor where you have a bunch of options to vote.. Danielle simply had to go into the PoV meeting with two options
Option A) If Brendon uses then PoV on himself then…
Option B) If Brendon uses the Pov on Rachel then…
It’s not difficult by any stretch of the imagination, but he felt his move was worth patting himself on the back over, so congrats to you, I guess? You really showed them?
Moving on….
What CBS hasn’t really touched on yet was how Brendon and Rachel accepted their fate that Brendon is (likely) going home, so they did what they do best, still found a way to suck every minute of attention and put it on “Brenchal”.
Because we haven’t been sickened enough by their preteen behavior with each other in the house this summer, the pair decided to throw a mock wedding, and we were all invited! Lucky us? I covered the wedding in more detail in this post, and if I discuss it any more, I may honestly throw up in my mouth, so if you want pictures from it, visit the Wedding Post or the Awkward Bachelor Party Post.
And in even MORE Brendon and Rachel news (what am I going to blog about when they’re both gone?), last night Rachel was really breaking down about the thought of her FIANCE leaving, and Brendon apparently requested she be seen by a therapist. They called her into the Diary Room for longer than a normal visit which speculated she got to see some help. (No word yet if the therapist was promptly checked into a mental hospital after listening to Rachel for an hour).
Oopsy
Finally, in a fuck-up of CBS proportions, they decided to let the new twist out of the bag before the show aired. Based on a screenshot from HamsterWatch, there is going to be a poll, likely tonight, asking who you want to see return in the house.
(The funny part is, even they expect Brendon to be evicted tonight)
I expect it should be an interesting vote, and I will probably put up on my poll on the sidebar when this blog is complete to see what you guys think. I’m not scared about putting the carriages before the horse either, Brendon will be my 4th pick, not Jordan.

Porsche will give up at some point, she’s still scarred from her nominations in week 1 for sticking on the banana for too long.
Jordan will fail, although give it a good effort
This comes down to Jeff, Rachel and Shelly. I hate to say it, but Rachel will probably win because she has more motivation than she’s probably ever had.
