Big Brother 21 – Saturday Afternoon Discussion

Good afternoon, everyone!

It’s veto day in the house and it’s a pretty big one for the future of the season. While Christie thinks it’s a sure thing that Jackson is going home this week, it’s actually a very split house and half the house will be fighting to keep noms the same. The other half will be fighting to save Jack and set up an opportunity for Christie to use her power to keep her side strong. In the process, everyone is trying to pretend Jackson is the one going home so Christie doesn’t use her power in the event that side does win.  Confusing, right?

Right now Jack and Jackson are obviously nominated. Jessica’s side has the numbers to do whatever they want because she is the tiebreaker if needed. This means if Jessica wants someone from Jack’s side to go, they’re going to go – unless Christie’s side wins and uses the power.  Let’s play out this hypothetical situation of Jack winning the veto:

  • Christie uses her power – Jack has the choice to choose his replacement and he picks Nicole. Jackson likely goes to jury
  • Christie doesn’t use her power – Jack saves himself and Jessica puts Analyse up as a replacement. There is a solid chance she goes to jury

Of course, this all depends on Jack’s side winning the veto. If the other side wins, Christie likely wouldn’t use her power and she’ll just accept the noms staying the same and work all week at securing Jackson’s exit.

What I do know is that this is one of the weeks where everything is up in the air and we won’t have a better idea on who is going home until after the veto meeting on Monday. Even then, it may be another wild week of last-minute switches until they finally vote.

This afternoon, Christie was extending the olive branch to Jackson via Holly. We’ll see if that actually develops into anything. They likely won’t be holding hands by the end of the week but I don’t see Jackson being holed up in the HN room until Thursday.  Saturday afternoons are notoriously slow, so this post is more to just start a new discussion thread than update on feeds. I will certainly have an update thread when the feeds return from the veto competition tonight.
